Dr Rios actively engaged the students in casual conversation to warm up asking how they were doing today. Dr Rios outlined the agenda. The students spent time reading an article on research that they had reviewed in a previous class. There were comprehension questions and also questions that expanded on information from previous paragraphs and sections of the article. Being a level 4 class, the students were able to answer questions on comprehension and also expand on ideas to have an informed discussion of the information. The difficulty level seemed appropriate for the students and some new vocabulary was reviewed with the students. Dr Rios was able to facilitate self correction is sentence structure by asking questions in a way that seemed to flow easily and was encouraging for the students.
