'Proofreading'

  Similar to the previous tutoring session, I asked Mohammed to proofread 3 reading passages.  I asked him to look for grammar mistakes, especially punctuation, as well as spelling and agreements with parts of speech.  He did not do well on the first passage, so I made sure to help him and explain to him why things were wrong and what the correct answers were.  The next reading passage was a lot easier for him.  He was able to understand most of the difficult words and the overall context of the passage.  Same with the final passage.  Overall, he was able to find the mistakes in the reading passages and correct them.  I defined a few words that he did not know and asked him to use them in a sentence so that he could understand them better.
