On this day I met with my tuttee, Kubra, at the sweet shop. She had just received her IELTS scores the day prior so we spent the first part of our session going over her weakest and strongest areas. We then went over an essay she wrote with a prompt about graphs. Her task was to describe the bar chart in the picture and what it tells the audience. I noticed that she started to implement some of the past low frequency words that we went over. I read the essay and guided her correction of grammar and sentence structure mistakes. Once done, I had her read through the essay and helped her correct some pronunciation mistakes. I was hoping that by doing this we could improve speaking skills and she could better remember the corrections she made to the essay.
