Michael CP#2

I had my second conversation partner meeting with my tutee Renata on February, 1 after our tutoring session at Starbucks. I learned a lot about Renata during this time as we talked over coffee and cake! We talked about some things that we have in common such as our similar interest in Brazilian jiu-jitsu, something I've been practicing for quite some time and something she is just starting to do! She actually wound up visiting the studio in which I practice and we both have common friends who practice jiu-jitsu, so that was very cool. Renata and I talked about what some of the differences were between the states and Brazil, with her saying that Brazil is beautiful but she doesn't think she will move back. We closed conversation meeting talking about some of the different places we have traveled as it a big part of my life and hers. Renata actually went to Russia to watch the world cup right before moving to the United States to study English! Renata is lovely and it was great sharing coffee, cake, and talk of life experiences with her!
