I met with Renata on 2/7/20 to go over complex connectors. These connectors include words such as because, although, though, in spite of, despite, so, etc... These words are very important in the creation of more complex sentences, something that Renata takes very seriously. In this tutoring session she wanted to go over a worksheet from her class, which had a description of each connector she wanted to go over. We went over the worksheet together and created examples for each type of connector, taking more times to go over the ones she was less familiar with. I also had her create some examples and ask why the connectors were used in each example, stressing both meaning and correct sentence structure. Renata did great in this session and was ready to use these connectors in her upcoming essay!
