Christopher TS #14

Do Jun and I had our 14th session on the 19th of February. It seems that lately we talk so much about the Coronavirus because the situation is only getting worse in Korea. He told me that there were about 45 new confirmed cases of the disease. Interested, I asked him why and he told me that it was because of Patient 31. She is an old woman that is an active member in the Shinchonji church. I did a little research on this and discovered that it is a church dedicated to a false prophet (a term Do Jun learned in that conversation) that bands together in fear of the apocalypse. This of course was only preliminary research, so excuse the inaccuracies. Do Jun told me that he had just learned of the church himself through the media. This developed into a conversation about the way people in Korea acquire news. I asked him if news networks were similar to those of the United States: polarized and always running. He told me that they are, and this fed my concern for the incoming apocalypse of misinformation.
