Do Jun and I spoke again on February 6th. The conversation started by me asking how Korean people took compliments. We talked about it in class and I was intrigued, so I decided to get some more insights from Do Jun. He said that Korean people don't like to "brag" and that care about seeming humble.
The second half of the session was interesting because he had a question about the difference between a few words in English. He was having trouble understanding when to use tell, speak, say, and talk because they have the same definition in his Korean-English language dictionary. I walked him through a bunch of examples and reasonings behind using certain words in certain situations. It was a refreshing session because we got to break from the usual course of typical conversation.
