Mengmeng and I met Thursday, 2/6, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
We practiced speaking skills, primarily—but we also covered common English idioms. Using an online list of good conversation prompts for ESL students, the two of us had an ongoing conversation for over half of our session (with Mengmeng speaking the most). I chipped in to correct speaking errors occasionally, but mostly I listened, asking short questions only when necessary.
Afterward, we wrapped up by covering a handful of English idioms (as Mengmeng expressed in the previous session that she enjoyed learning these sayings).
