This Thursday, I met with my tutee Kubra. She wanted to improve her writing skills when given a prompt. We decided to focus on writing an essay from a prompt in her IELTS notebook. Our system was for her write a sentence and as she is writing I would correct her grammar mistakes. I think this is a good method for her because she automatically knew where she messed up, instead of thinking she was correct and finding out later it was wrong. We outlined two essays like this. The first prompt instructed her to explain the graphs, and the second prompt had her write about global warming and its effects.
