On Thursday, I met with my conversation partner Yunjia. We continued where we left off during our last meeting. I was reading a Chinese book and wrote down some words I didn't understand. Then, she explained the words and gave me examples in English, and I made sure to help her correct her grammar in speech while she was giving her explanation. There were some words I introduced to her while we were talking such as coin purse, clutch, hand bag, and satchel; in Chinese these different bags go by the same name, so I think it was helpful for me to explain the different types in English in case she ever heard them. I think this system has really helped both of us improve our language skills.
