This Friday I met with my tutee Kubra. For this portion of our session we focused on correcting an essay that she wrote based off a prompt in her IELTS textbook. The prompt was about the loss in species of animals and plants. I went through her essay and corrected her grammar mistakes and misspellings. Kubra improved immensely from when we first started our tutoring. I noticed that she makes less grammar and spelling mistakes and has started to use more low frequency words. I then had her read the essay out loud so that we could work on and improve her pronunciation skills.
