Michael CP#1

In my first conversation meeting with Renata, we decided to have converse after our tutoring session on January 25th. We talked over some coffee at Starbucks as it was quite cold outside. This was the first time I had really gotten to know Renata as most of the time we were just talking about what she needed help in the English language. Renata was born in Brasilia, which is the capitol of Brazil. She came here to learn English and take course in Miami, before she goes for her masters degree in Law! We also talked about what her favorite sports were, her number one being soccer, what her plans in the States are, and some of the activities she has done since she's been here. I told her some cool things that she could do while here including First Friday, some parks, and where she might get a good acai bowl.  We talked about our degrees and what we might do with them in the future, along with my plan to teach in Spain for a year! I learned a lot about Renata as a person and also about some aspects of Brazilian culture!
